Ring Soap

This week’s new thing is Ring Soap, the latest ingenious design from Sebastian Bergne. I first discovered the new product a few weeks back doing the rounds on design blogs. I was intrigued by the simple yet effective design and decided to purchase. Initially, I had some troubles placing the order through the site with delivery to Jersey but the SB customer service team were helpful and resolved the issue.

Delivery was quick and the goods arrived in a nice paper brown bag with simple packaging, my pack contained one 80g amber Ring Soap, one 80g emerald Ring Soap and one solid aluminium hanging peg. Each of the items was individually wrapped and labeled and they even supply an alcohol wipe to clean the surface of where you mount the peg. My only criticism would be that there is no spare 3M adhesive sticky pad supplied.

So what is Ring Soap? As the name suggests it’s a circular doughnut shaped bar of soap but here’s the neat twist, it hangs on a stylish aluminium peg to help maintain the longevity of the soap whilst becoming a decorative feature.

The Ring Soap can be purchased in packs for around £20 that includes variants of soap scents and replacement pegs for more hanging options. The peg is easy to install, however, our sticky pad has unfortunately not been the best. Since installing the peg on our bathroom tile it’s come off several times, we hung the soap initially after sticking the peg on so maybe we shouldn’t have added the extra weight and let the peg set in hindsight. We will be contacting the SB team once more for assistance.

Without contacting customer service yet we are pleased to say they have read this post and got in touch. We can confirm that it is probably best to let it set before putting weight on it. And they are sending us some more sticky pads and wipes. What amazing customer service!
