If there was one brand I wish was easier to get hold of in the UK, Glossier is it. Somewhere out there Emily Weiss, the founder of Into The Gloss and Glosser, answer mine and I’m sure hundreds of other women’s prayers. After stocking up on a trip to New York in May 2015, and then begging friends visiting the US to let me ship to their hotels. Glossier is coming to the UK. I believe the time frame is supposed to be early October. Not long now kids!
I reach for so many of these products, and there are so many I’m lusting after. So I thought I’d share what these are with you.
What I’m Loving…
Glossier Balm Dotcom
The Balm Dotcom is a universal balm. It hydrates lips, cuticles, elbows or any other dry area in which you might need it. Although it’s a long-lasting product, it is so lightweight, not thick. It;s packed with anti-oxidants and natural emollients to soothe the skin. This is currently available in the UK here.
Glossier Priming Moisturiser
My dream day time moisturiser. Having used this nearly daily for the past 2 months. It is perfect for the summer months. I have quite dehydrated skin, and this hydrates it beautifully without feeling like there is anything on my skin. I think for winter I will need something slightly heavier, although you can layer this product. It is quite a thin consistency so I need to use less than I would with other brands. This is a great base for makeup too and sinks in so quickly. It helps to reduce redness and create an even glowy canvas for any products you wish to use on top.
Glossier Generation G
I have the shades Like and Crush. The matte lipsticks are not like any matte lip product I’ve tried. Matte tends to mean drying and even those that are matte and moisturising tend to feel a bit thick when applied. Generation G feels undetectable, it truly feels like you aren’t wearing any product. The light wash or pop of colour, depending on how you apply, always looks natural. It gives you that ‘just blotted look without the blot.’ The colours look slightly different on everyone as they adapt to your own lip shade. Generation G works with your natural lip colour for a diffused look that’s effortless. – Isn’t that what we all want? I certainly do.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser
The Milky Jelly Cleanser really is just that. It is not an oil, foam or cream cleanser. I love this cloudy creamy gel product that can be used on dry or wet skin. I prefer it on dry skin to remove makeup, it’s so gentle on the eye area, or on wet skin to wake me up in the morning. Great for sensitive clean, it really cleans skin leaving it feeling soft, not tight. I have gone through a few bottles of this now and travelled with it and it is a star product for sure.
Glossier The Supers
I feel like there was so much hype around the supers, but all three aren’t for me. That makes sense as these serums target different needs. Having said that Super Pure and Super Bounce are two I love. If your skin is stressed out or breaking out, I’d reccommend Super Pure. Unlike most treatments for troubled skin, this isn’t drying at all. Super Bounce is perfect for tight, dehydrated skin. Perfect for the morning after a night involving one too many mezcal old fashioned’s! I don’t really use Super Glow, I’m sure it’s great for some people, but the texture is just like water, and I feel like I can’t feel much of a difference – I could be using it wrong though, maybe it works better when layering it with other products? Or maybe it’s just not what my skin needs.
Glossier Moisturising Moon Mask
This mask is easily absorbed into the skin and it’s best to apply a thick layer. Or apply a thin layer as an over night mask for soft supply glowy skin in the morning. This creamy mask is intensely hydrating without clogging pores. It contains liquorice root and lemon fruit extract which work to gently brighten and even out the complexion. The sweet almond oil, plant-based squalene and hyaluronic acid penetrate deep into the surface of the skin leaving the skin looking plump. The Moisturising Moon Mask is loving and cooling which is great for soothing skin over exposed to the sun too.
Glossier Mega Green Galaxy Mask
A creamy clay mask that manages to removes impurities and excess oil without drying the skin. It balances and conditions pores whilst still calming the skin, making it great for dull skin. Using the mildest form of Kaolin clay, the Maga Green Galaxy Mask draws out oil and build-up even on those with sensitive skin. I tend to leave a thin layer of this on for 20 minutes and then follow up with the moon mask for great results.
